Tried the food truck “Just how Nannie fixed it” today . I wasn’t impressed. I am sure the intentions are good. It seemed like a lot of it was from a can or a box. Not very home made and very little seasoning. The carrot cake was definitely from a box with packaged icing. Most people like this but compared to other southern type cooking and other food truck I would expect more made from scratch. I would expect Nannie was more home made.

Well, apparently Nanny fixed it like turds. Holy vomit, this stuff looked and tasted like Meals on Wheels.

  Todd are you crazy!! I tried the food on the same day at Burton Hills and this was the best meal I have ever received from a truck. Not only were they reasonably priced but the selection the offered was incredible. I guess you are just not used to eating good country cooking.Where are you from???Mars?

I have no idea what Todd is talking about because Just Like Nannie Fixed it is AMAZING! Their prices are just right. They have tons of choices to pick from. I am never left eating the same thing every day. I LOVE seeing them drive up from my window! I know I’m going to eat good that day! And their Ooey Gooey Cake is wonderful! I promise I am going to buy a whole pan one day! Thank you Just Like Nannie Fixed It for doing a great job! The bible verse on your to go boxes is a nice touch!

I’m with Todd on this one, ladies. I realize that the concept of a restaurant in a truck is pretty hip right now, but let’s set some standards here. The food is neither tasty nor priced appropriately. Ros was on the money: this stuff is straight from a can or box. I’ve heard some good things about other Nashville Food Trucks, but Nannie needs to hang up her apron and hit the nursing home.

As the co-owner of Just Like nannie Fixed It I can personally attest to the validity of our authentic country cooking, I personally bake all the desserts and peel 10 lbs of potatoes each day add real butter to them as i mash them,season the green beans with bacon fat,hand pinch the dumplins,slice the carrots,slow cook the beans overnight etc, I do not know 1 truck that grows and harvest their own veggies or has a farm of animals they slaughter themselves, there are a few items that start from a can like some veggies but we add ingredients to spice them up and make them our own. We are aware of some people with dietary restrictions that can not for example have alot of added salt so we offer salt and pepper on the ledge for you We are not claiming to have excentric dishes as some other trucks do,,we have good country cooking! ! If there ever is a recipe for a certain item you like I would be glad to pass it on to you and you could see for yourself all the ltime involved in making these dishes.If you ever have a problem with the food you receive we will be glad to refund your money or offer you something else.Our goal is that everyone leaves our truck happy and with very full bellies,Not many places will offer you a genrous portion of meat and 2 sides with bread included for under 6.00,many trucks offer simple sandwiches or wraps for 7.00 with no sides. Tried this food truck yesterday and it was great. Downhome cooking at a very affordable price. Some of the best desserts in town.
